Custom Adapters, Mounts & Replacement Parts for Existing Equipment
When existing equipment needs modifying or an OEM replacement is difficult to source, we help develop custom mechanical components from drawings, measurements or existing parts. We use SolidWorks CAD when design work is needed, with welding, fabrication and assembly carried out in-house.
Mechanical modifications & retrofits
When equipment needs to accommodate a new component, process or operating requirement, custom mechanical parts can often provide an alternative to replacing the entire machine.
An existing machine frame or support needs to be extended or modified to accommodate new equipment or loading requirements.
SolidWorks modelling and FEA can be used to evaluate stress, deflection and design alternatives when the modification requires mechanical analysis.

Typical application
A replacement gearbox has a different mounting pattern from the existing machine frame.
Using the available dimensions, drawings or original components, we can develop a custom adapter in SolidWorks, evaluate the mechanical requirements and fabricate the mounting components. FEA can be included when the expected loads or design changes warrant analysis.

We review the mechanical requirements and develop the proposed modification. SolidWorks CAD and FEA can be used when the design or expected loads warrant analysis. You'll receive a quote defining the agreed scope, price and estimated lead time.
We fabricate, weld and assemble suitable components at our London facility, checking dimensions and fit where practical. Specialized manufacturing processes are coordinated when needed.
Completed components are prepared for pickup or arranged delivery. Any site fitting or mechanical installation requirements can be discussed and quoted separately when feasible.
The scope of mechanical fabrication, fitting and assembly is defined in each quote. Electrical work and any required machine-safety assessment are handled separately.
